WIC: MyWIC Privacy Policy

On this page you’ll find the privacy policy for the MyWIC app.

If you are part of the WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children) program, then you can use the MyWIC app.

If you do choose to use this app, you should know our privacy policy. Read on to see how we use the data collected by the app.

If you use the MyWIC app, you agree to how we collect and share data as given in this privacy policy.

What we collect

The MyWIC app will collect data that is already part of the WIC program. This includes your eWIC card number. It will also track your current balance.

We may collect other data too. This could be:

  • Information about your mobile device, such as the type of device and the operating system it uses. This can help us solve technical issues with the app.
  • Information you give us directly.
  • Your product and store search history.

We also note your Internet Protocol (IP) address. We collect the IP address from any visitor to the website. This can help us to:

  • Solve server problems.
  • Find trends.
  • Run the site.
  • Track where you go shopping.
  • Gather general information about who is using the site.

Please note: IP addresses are NOT linked to information that tells who you are.

What we do with your information

The information we collect may be used to:

  • Check how well our system is working.
  • Review product and store search history from the MyWIC app. We might share this data with others, such as retailers. We don’t share your personal information. We only share product and store information.
  • Share with your local WIC agency.
  • Share with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Changes to this policy

The privacy policy may change without notice. If we change it, we will update the “Effective Date.” This is found at the bottom of the policy.

You should check this policy from time to time. This will help you stay up to date with any changes.
