  • Subscribe to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Mailing List
  • National Health Information Center: Health observances are days, weeks, or months devoted to promoting particular health concerns. Health professionals, teachers, community groups, and others can use these special times to sponsor health promotion events, stimulate awareness of health risks, or focus on disease prevention. Materials available from sponsoring organizations range from a single flyer to packets of promotional materials.
  • Supercourse: Epidemiology, the Internet and Global Health is a useful and helpful website from the University of Pittsburgh that presents over 1,000 PowerPoint lectures on a variety of topics. It also has links to other public health resources from faculty in the United States and 130 other countries around the world.
