WISH Query: Opioid-Related Hospital Encounters

This module provides data on opioid-related inpatient hospital stays and emergency department visits among Wisconsin residents from 2005-2020. Documentation of opioid-related indicators and information about some of the terms included in the module (e.g., age adjustment, expected payer) are available in the technical notes page. Definitions are available in the definitions page.

Step 1. Select a Measure for Opioid Hospital Encounters

Step 3. Select Hospital Admissions or Emergency Department Visits

Step 4. Choose Area of Patient's Residence

Hold down the control (Ctrl) key to select multiple counties or regions.

Note: To see results for individual areas, choose "Geographic Area" as a ROW variable or COLUMN variable in Step 7 or 8 below.
