Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS)
The Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS) is a federal database used to check whether public assistance recipients may be receiving duplicate benefits in more than one state. After PARIS staffers confirm a recipient has received duplicate benefits, they identify overpaid benefits, and may disqualify the recipient from the program.
PARIS is operated by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
