Established in 1959, Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) provides short-term and residential services to assist people living with intellectual disabilities in acquiring the personal skills needed to reach their highest potential. CWC is one of three centers for individuals with intellectual disabilities managed by the Division of Care and Treatment Services.

Wisconsin IDD-MH System Improvement

The Wisconsin Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health (IDD-MH) System Improvement Report (PDF) came out in June 2024. Construction notice: The bridge on Knutson Drive will be closed to all traffic from May 12 to May 26, 2025. The City of Madison website has information on alternative routes to access the Knutson Drive neighborhood, including Central Wisconsin Center.
