Wisconsin Hospital Association Information Center
WHAIC is contracted to collect, edit, correct, and organize the hospital patient records from each Wisconsin hospital that are required by statute. These records include all inpatient discharges, emergency department visits, ambulatory surgeries, and other hospital outpatient services.

National Syndromic Surveillance Program (NSSP)
Syndromic surveillance is the collection of emergency department data to inform public health. It can be used to focus on state and local situational awareness, including hazardous events that could require an intervention. Data can be pulled based on geographic location, demographics, chief complaints, and diagnoses. Wisconsin syndromic data is accessed through BioSense.
