Katie Beckett Medicaid: Eligibility

You can now manage your Katie Beckett Medicaid benefits online!

Katie Beckett Medicaid members can now use the ACCESS website to manage their benefits.
 

What you need to know

  • Easier access: Manage your benefits, check your information, upload documents, and find other helpful programs and supports online.
  • Get started: Create an ACCESS account on the ACCESS website.
  • Already have an account? Use your existing ACCESS account for Katie Beckett Medicaid.

If you have questions, contact Member Services at 800-362-3002 or visit the ACCESS support page. Please note that Katie Beckett Medicaid staff are not able to answer questions about ACCESS.

There are certain criteria children must meet to qualify for Katie Beckett Medicaid.

They must:

  • Be under age 19.
  • Meet the definition of “disabled” under the Social Security Act.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or qualifying immigrant.
  • Be a Wisconsin resident.
  • Live at home, in a foster care setting, or in another eligible community-based setting.
  • Require the kind of care typically provided by a hospital or long-term care facility.
  • Receive safe and appropriate care at home.
  • Not have income in their name that is more than the current income limit for those living in an institution. 
  • Not receive care at home that costs more than the care they would receive in a long-term care facility covered by Medicaid.
