CWC: Medical Short-Term Care Unit

The Medical Short-Term Care Unit (MSTCU) is a 10-bed unit. Admissions include post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic evaluations, and referrals for nutrition or other medical evaluation or assessment. 

Team approach

Experts in a wide variety of fields work with clients in the MSTCU. This allows for better care that considers all aspects of a client's needs and abilities.  

Admissions

All admissions to the MSTCU must pass through a screening process. Admissions must be approved by county officials or the client's managed care organization. Admissions are scheduled in advance.
