Adult Protective Services: Data Reporting for APS staff
Data is an important tool to understand the prevalence of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation reported to adult protective services units across Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services provides a statewide web-based reporting system to collect data regarding adult protective services (APS) referrals and response. This system is called Wisconsin Reporting for Adult Protective Services (WRAPS).
County APS staff are statutorily required to enter data on APS reports received and the outcomes of APS investigations. Data in WRAPS is used to create statistical summaries and formulate reports to track APS program activities and trends across the state, as well as advocate for policy changes as needed.
Any APS staff with questions about APS reporting or the WRAPS program can email the DHS APS team at DHSAPS@dhs.wisconsin.gov.
