WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program - Authorization

In Wisconsin, farmers must be authorized to sell food to people in the WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children) Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP).

Prerequisites

Vendors must:

  • Grow produce that’s on the Wisconsin WIC and Senior FMNP Approved Foods List. (PDF)
  • Grow the produce themselves in Wisconsin or on a farm within 50 miles of Wisconsin.
  • Sell the produce at a WIC FMNP farmers market or farm stand.
  • Complete face-to-face training.
