In Wisconsin, a person must be certified to do asbestos work. An asbestos worker certification is for a person who does asbestos abatement jobs. They must have a certified asbestos supervisor to oversee them. Types of work include setting up containment, repairs, or removal of asbestos, or getting rid of materials with asbestos from a building. Projects can be inside or outside of a facility.
Asbestos workers must be associated with a certified asbestos company when doing asbestos work.
Duration
One year. A one-day annual refresher training is required to renew.

$75 per year
Prerequisites
You must be 18 or older. You also must complete an initial four-day asbestos worker training course. Find a training provider here.
