Type
Description
An exterior asbestos supervisor certification is for a person who oversees outside asbestos abatement projects. These projects have materials with asbestos that don’t crumble (non-friable) and stay that way during the project. The supervisor may collect bulk samples to test for asbestos in the non-friable materials. They also have the authority to enforce changes or stop the project.
Duration
One year. A two-hour annual refresher training is required to renew.
Fees
$75 per year
Prerequisites
You must be 18 years of age or older. You also must complete a one-day exterior asbestos worker course, followed by a one-day exterior asbestos supervisor initial course.
