MilES operations on Thursdays
Please be aware that MilES closes at noon on Thursdays. During this time, both phone and in-person services are unavailable. However, you still have several options:
- Documents can be dropped off for scanning, required for proof or verification purposes.
- Forms are available to establish your filing date for benefit applications, which determines the start date of your benefits.
- For benefit applications on Thursday afternoons, when MilES is closed, you can either call us at 262-288-3584 or utilize our ACCESS website for assistance.

Yes. There are four ways you can apply:
In person
- You can get a paper application at our 64th Street and UMOS locations.
- If you don’t want to fill out an application, you can set a filing date by filling out a “Doc 1” form. The filing date is important because it determines when benefits should start.

If you are using the agency's address, you can call-ahead to see if you have mail before making the trip. If your last name starts with:
- A through I, call 608-698-6101

You can get a temporary card at our 64th Street and UMOS locations if you meet certain criteria. Your permanent card will then be mailed to you. It should arrive within five to seven days. You can also call 877-415-5164 to get a new card.

The free MyACCESS mobile app lets you check benefits, get reminders, submit documents, update your address, and view your digital ForwardHealth or SeniorCare cards.

Yes. Translation services are provided on-site for these languages:
- Spanish

- Karen
- American Sign Language (ASL) (provided by appointment)

- Miles Offices—At our 64th Street location, we have first floor walk-in services. In addition, staff members are available to help.
- UMOS—The front door off the parking lot is an accessibility entrance.
