Children Come First Advisory Committee

The Children Come First Advisory Committee supports the development of a comprehensive service system of coordinated care for children who are involved in two or more systems of care.

Members represent Tribal nations, state agencies, county agencies, child serving agencies, and parents of children with complex care needs and their advocates.  

Meetings are held using Teams four times per year. All meetings are open to the public.

State law [Wis. Stat. § 46.56(14)(a)] requires the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to support operations of this body.

Wisconsin's Children's System Care

The Children Come First Advisory Committee advises the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on the implementation of Wisconsin’s Children’s System of Care, services that help children facing a behavioral health challenge do better at home, in school, in the community, and throughout life.

Wisconsin Wayfinder

Wisconsin Wayfinder supports families of children with delays, disabilities, special health care needs, and mental health conditions. Children’s resource guides are helpers who assist families, caregivers, professionals, and organizations in finding a wide array of supports and services available through the Children’s Resource Network.

Wisconsin Children's System of Care Strategic Plan

The Children Come First Advisory Committee manages the development and implementation of Wisconsin Children's System of Care Strategic Plan. The current strategic plan was published in 2024.
