Aging: Resources for Nutrition Program Providers
Do you work with the Elder Nutrition Program? These tools, resources, and groups may help:
- The Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources—A non-profit that supports the success of aging programs and services. Serves 70 counties and 11 tribes.
- Health Aging Dietetic Practice Group—A group within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Empowers and supports members to be food and nutrition leaders. Promotes life-long wellness. Members provide nutrition programs and services to older adults in:
- The community.
- Education and research facilities.
- Home health care facilities.
- Meals on Wheels Association of America—The leading group for those who give meals to people in need. Meals are sent to people’s homes or served in dining centers.
- National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs—A national membership. For people who help older adults get healthy food and nutrition through community-based services.
- Nutrition and Aging Resource Center—A group that provides training and helps with nutrition services. They aim to build up the aging services network. The goal is for programs to give nutrition services to more older adults, now and in the future.
- Wisconsin County and Tribal Aging Offices—A list of office contacts for aging programs, including each county and tribe.
