Safety and Crisis Support

Crisis support and safety providers are there when people need immediate assistance as well as offer long-term solutions to keep individuals safe. Contact your local ARDC or Tribal ADRS to learn more. If you or someone you know is currently having an emergency, please call 911.

  • Abuse and Neglect

    Abuse and Neglect resources include safe shelters, legal advocacy, police intervention, therapy, support groups, financial support, and crisis hotlines.

  • Abuse and Neglect Crisis Hotline

    An abuse and neglect crisis hotline is a phone number that people can call to get immediate emergency counseling from a trained professional.

  • Abuse and Neglect Support Group

    An abuse and neglect support group is a regular gathering of people who meet to discuss issues related to effects of abuse and neglect.

  • Crisis Hotlines

    Crisis hotlines give people immediate emergency counseling and support via phone when experiencing a mental health crisis or in emotional distress.

  • Emergency Funds

    Providers who are able to offer immediate short-term financial assistance.

  • Emergency Services

    Emergency services ensure public safety, security, and health by addressing and resolving emergencies.

  • Home Modification

    Home modifications help people with physical limitations live independently by adapting their living spaces.

  • Location Tracking

    Location tracking is a safety service that can provide the location of people or items.

  • Mental Health Crisis Hotline

    A mental health crisis hotline is a phone number people call to get immediate emergency counseling from a trained professional.

  • Personal Emergency Response Systems

    A Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) is an electronic device that allows people to call for help in an emergency by pressing a button.

  • Safe Shelter

    Safe shelters provide temporary housing to those who need to place to stay after leaving a violent living environment.

  • Safety Checks

    Safety checks is a system in which a planned visit or activity, or an unplanned wellness check, is performed to ensure an individual is safe.

  • Safety Preparedness

    Safety preparedness is the process of creating a safe environment and developing a plan to keep an individual safe.

  • Survivor Support

    Survivor support services help individuals and families who have experienced various types of loss or trauma.

  • Veterans Crisis

    Veterans crisis assists veterans and their families in times of extreme stress.
