Annual progress report

Each State Assistive Technology Program is required to prepare and submit to the Administration for Community Living within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, an annual progress report. State Assistive Technology Programs are required to collect and report on both State Leadership and State Level Activities.

State level activities

  • Alternative financing programs: This includes the WisLoan and Telework alternative finance programs as well as other statewide programs which assist individuals with obtaining assistive technology at no cost or at a lower cost.
  • Device Reuse Programs: This includes assistive technology devices that are given away or sold at a reduced cost to individuals with disabilities.
  • Device demonstration and loan programs: This includes assistive technology demonstrations and short-term loans to assist with decision making or serving as a short-term accommodation while awaiting funding to purchase their own assistive technology.

State leadership activities

  • Training and educational activities to increase knowledge and skills related to assistive technology.
  • Technical assistance to increase access to and capacity statewide related to assistive technology.
  • Public awareness and information and assistance
  • Information and assistance responses to email, phone, and in-person inquiries about AT devices, services, funding, and policies.
