Blood Borne Pathogens Training Modules
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration Blood Borne Pathogens
Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) requires employers of persons with
occupational exposure to blood and other body fluids to provide training
to reduce employee risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens. The Division
of Public Health (DPH) has developed the following presentation to train
its employees deemed to have such exposure.
If you are a DPH employee who must receive this training, please select
the presentation "Blood Borne Pathogens Training" below to view
the modules, and then complete the post test quiz by clicking on
"post test" on the slide at the end of the presentation. It will
take approximately one hour to do the training, and you may view each
module separately at your convenience.
Local health departments and other employers are welcome
to view the presentation as an example of required training for their
employees. Each employer, however, must tailor the training to its own
unique work setting.
