Teleconferences on Substance AbuseResearch to PracticeSubstance Abuse Teleconference Evaluation
(On-line Survey) Introduction Addiction and Substance Abuse Services offers a monthly statewide teleconference series on research-based addiction treatment recovery and prevention issues. These teleconferences have been developed through a partnership with Prairielands ATTC (Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network) (exit DHS). Instructions for Participating On the day of the teleconference just before the start time call (608) 312-0022 and enter code 4858 and you will be immediately connected to the teleconference. If you are experiencing technical difficulty, call the Wisline teleconference service at (608) 262-3399 or (800) 442-4614. We would urge you to invite colleagues to join you around a speakerphone in order to maximize participation. Topics Prevention treatment and recovery will address common themes, such as assessment, helping affected family members into treatment, enhancing client motivation, improving client retention, medication issues, and addictions and the brain. You are encouraged to participate in the complete series, as each topic builds from the previous subject, resulting in a more comprehensive and cohesive learning experience. You are also encouraged to come prepared with difficult cases that relate to the subject material for each month’s presentation. The expert presenters will answer questions and discuss how the research may help you be more successful with such cases. Measuring Conference Applicability and Need The Evaluation forms are now in an online survey format at Substance Abuse Teleconference Evaluation (On-line Survey) (exit DHS). You must complete the on-line survey to receive a certificate of attendance from this Department. Presentation Materials Electronic session materials will be sent to each Wisline reservation and reserved teleconference site. In addition, the materials will be available on this web site for downloading and printing following the teleconference presentation.
