Reported Induced Terminations of Pregnancy
The statistical report available from the link below presents summary
tables of information collected through the Wisconsin Induced Termination
of Pregnancy Reporting System, established under section 69.186, Wisconsin
Statutes. Since January 1, 1987, medical facilities in Wisconsin have been
required to report selected information on patients who obtained induced
terminations of pregnancy.
The report summarizes data for the most recent calendar year, trend
information for the most recent five-year period, and three-year annual
average information by county. The tables categorize reported induced
terminations of pregnancy by patient age, educational attainment, marital status,
race/ethnicity, and county of residence; by an estimate of gestational
age; and by reported complications.
The data are occurrence-based, consisting of reports on induced
terminations of pregnancy performed in Wisconsin for both residents and non-residents.
This publication represents the only published data from this reporting
system; no data requests are accepted.
