Webcast Presentation F441 - Updated Guidance to Surveyors

On July 20, 2009, CMS issued revisions to Appendix PP - Interpretive Guidelines for Long Term Care Facilities for F-tag 441- Infection control. These updated guidelines will be effective September 30, 2009.

The Division of Quality Assurance, Bureau of Technology, Licensing and Education, Education Services Section is pleased to announce the availability of a taped webcast presentation titled F441 - Updated Guidance to Surveyors which will be available beginning October 2, 2009.

Objectives:

• Identify and describe the revisions to the interpretive guidelines for Infection Control.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the contents of the revised guidance to surveyors for F441. 
• Appropriately and accurately utilize the revised guidance and investigative protocol during the survey process.

Long-term care surveyors
