Emergency Preparedness 

This information may be used and adapted by health care providers such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities and FDDs to prepare for possible emergency situations.

Sample Emergency Plans & Plan Templates are provided to give health care providers guidance for the development of emergency plans that can be adapted to the unique needs of each facility.  

Minimum Level of Readiness Indicators are actions that health care providers are encouraged to take, to become prepared for "all hazards".  This information also contains "best practices" on how other health care providers are implementing these indicators.

Training and Education is critical to build and maintain proficiency and competency in health care staff.  (Training and Education material will be added in the future - this information is not yet available.)

Exercises are the means by which health care staff will know how to act and respond in a disaster.  This information contains template exercises that can be used at a health care facility to test various parts of an Emergency Plan. (Exercises will be added in the future - this information is not yet available.)

State Expert Panel on Long-Term Care Facilities is a panel of providers that has been charged with providing and developing resources for all types of residential care facilities.
