Wisconsin Resource Center - Unit Information

WRC employs a unit-based treatment concept. Inmates/patients are assigned to 20-34 bed units based on common needs or characteristics.

WRC has 14 inmate units. The inmates are convicted felons who have been referred to WRC by the Department of Corrections for special mental health or behavioral treatment.

In addition to the inmate units, WRC has four patient units. The patients have been involuntarily committed as sexually violent persons under Wisconsin Statute Chapter 980 of the mental health laws.
