Training on Stigma

Announcement: Wisconsin Premiers National Effort to Fight Stigma  (PDF, 8  KB)

A free teleconference training on Stigma titled "Addressing Discrimination and Stigma through Mental Health Consumer Contact" is offered by the Resource Center to address discrimination and stigma.  Participants will learn how contact with mental health consumers can help the general public reduce their fears and misperceptions about mental illness.  The teleconference training will be held on June 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. est.  For more information contact Jennifer Melinn.  You may also view stigma research on the Chicago Consortium for Stigma Research  Web site.
