June 18, 2008 The Division of Long Term Care initiated a task force, the Managed Care and Employment Task Force, approximately one year ago charged with examining ways to strengthen employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the managed long-term care system. The Task Force was composed of 28 members, representing a broad range of stakeholder groups and state agencies. Based on its review of best practices in other states and data and information about the current employment options and outcomes in current long-term care programs, the Task Force recently concluded its draft report which recommends a wide range number of measures to increase integrated employment outcomes for persons in Family Care. After soliciting input from interested parties, the Task Force will finalize its report in July. More information about the report and related listening sessions can be found in the Listening Session flyer.
