Statewide Expansion of
Managed Long-Term Care
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Long Term
Care, has embarked on an initiative to expand
managed long-term care options in Wisconsin. Currently, two programs are
managing long-term care in Wisconsin - Family Care and the Family Care
Partnership Program. In his February 2006 State of the State Address,
Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle announced his goal to expand the Family Care
program and promote the integration of long-term care and health care
services over the next five years. The Department of Health Services has awarded grants to ten groups to carry out intensive planning
activities to achieve this goal. This website was established to provide
information to these groups and stakeholders as the initiative progresses.
