Family Care Independent Disability Ombudsman Program

On October 1, 2008, the Department of Health Services and Disability Rights Wisconsin (exit DHS) entered into a contract for the Family Care Ombudsman Program services. Disability Rights Wisconsin will provide Ombudsman services to current or potential enrollees (ages 18 - 59) of the Family Care and Family Care Partnership programs, or to their families or guardians, as required by 2007 Wisconsin Act 20, Wis. Stats. 46.281(1n)(e). 

As advocates for Family Care members, potential members, and their families, the Ombudsmen will assist them in navigating the program and in resolving their problems informally whenever possible.
