Wisconsin Childhood Lead Poisoning Data

Annual Reports

These reports include the number of Wisconsin children tested and poisoned and number of cases (level of lead in blood requires intervention) at age one, age two, ages zero to five and for three to five year olds not previously tested for each local health department jurisdiction. Also includes prevalence rates and rates for children enrolled in Medicaid and WIC programs.

Database

An online query system with statewide data and data by county, local health department jurisdiction and for select cities from 2002 to 2007.

Geographic Information System (GIS) Maps

County and select Wisconsin city maps that show that old housing is associated with where children are lead poisoned.

Surveillance

This surveillance section contains graphs of the trend of childhood lead poisoning in Wisconsin from 1996 to 2006 and the four risk factors that put children at highest risk for childhood lead poisoning: age of child, age of housing, socioeconomic status, and racial and ethnic disparities.
