Vocational Education Department
Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) has established an Adult
Vocational Education Program currently comprised of 23 staff members with the purpose of
providing goal-directed daily learning experiences for individuals who live at CWC. The
program focuses on individuals who are 21 years of age or older with medical approval to
leave their respective living units for more than one hour.
Currently 235 individuals participate in the program which involves them in structured
and routine activities away from their living areas that are goal-directed and integrated
with each individuals priority needs. Opportunities are provided for socialization,
functional communication, and community integration, as well as the acquisition of
personal, domestic, and vocational skills.
