Occupational Therapy/
Physical Therapy/
Respiratory Therapy

 

Each department provides evaluations of the resident's level of functioning, including recommendations for apartment staff and community staff, active treatment and equipment in the following areas:

Occupational Therapy (OT):  Sensory awareness, visual spatial awareness, body integration, cognition/judgment, fine motor coordination, strength, endurance, range of motion, reflexes and tone, activities of daily living, oral motor function, adaptive equipment and splints.

Physical Therapy (PT): Gross motor skills, reflexes and tone, range of motion, musculoskeletal abnormalities, adaptive equipment and splints, post surgical care.

Respiratory Therapy (RT):  Bronchial hygiene, humidity and aerosol/medication treatments, oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, and respiratory/pulmonic maintenance equipment.

OT, PT and RT Student Area:  Rehabilitation Services is involved in extensive training programs, such as nurses aide certification training, training of professional students from various universities and technical schools and workshops.
