Description
&
Agenda

Following an overview about Early Head Start (EHS) in Wisconsin, representatives from the Polk and Rock County early intervention programs and their colleagues from Early Head Start will share their experiences in developing collaborative activities. We will also discuss issues to consider when working with EHS or other programs when there are children served by both programs. Other issues to consider include child find activities, referrals and transition. Jill will provide examples of other early childhood collaborations in Wisconsin.

We will also chat about promoting interagency agreements, using the agreement Roles, Responsibilities and Collaboration Related to Serving Young Children with Disabilities and Their Families (signed in 2001 by DHFS, DPI, the Federal Head Start Bureau, and the Wisconsin Tribes) as an example. The session will end with questions from participants about transitions from Birth to 3 Programs to early childhood special education and other programs.
